Monday Morning

Today students were dropped off by their families at 9:45 so that Lourdes Belmonte (our main group leader) could give them a tour of the school. Then they went to class! Today's grammar/culture topics were families and personal characteristics. After a few hours in the classroom we went to a local market so that students could talk to people. Lourdes assigned them each three questions to ask:
1) Why is the market referred to as "Piojito"?
2) What can one buy there?
3) What does 2 x 1 mean?
After getting their answers and discussing them with Lourdes we returned to the school where their host families were waiting for them. We all went back home for the traditional few hours of siesta to eat and rest. Later this afternoon evening we are going to go on a walking tour of the old part of Cadiz.
